To the Community and Press,

It is with profound grief that we address you regarding the tragic death of our beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend, Amber Lauryn Morgan. As you are aware, Amber's life was brutally taken by an act of domestic violence on Saturday, June 1st.

Though the pain of this loss is immeasurable, we are compelled to honor and celebrate Amber's life. She was a bright, inspiring, and kind soul who dedicated herself to making a difference. Amber was an Indiana Teaching Fellow, enrolled in Marian University's graduate program, and a passionate kindergarten teacher at Victory College Prep. She also found joy in coaching sports, entrepreneurship, and real estate investing. Amber was a devoted member of Overcoming Church, where she participated in the youth ministry.

For 5 weeks, Amber treasured the role of motherhood, describing it as "the best job in the world." She adored her daughter, Audri, and was grateful for the love and support surrounding them from family, friends, colleagues, coaches, class parents, and students.

As we navigate this unimaginable grief, we ask for your patience and understanding. We hope that Amber's story will spark honest conversations about domestic violence, mental health, and emotional wellbeing within all families. Amber's life was not in vain, and her daughter's life will not be shortchanged.

Our love for Amber and Audri will never be defeated.

Sincerely,

The Morgan & Hart Families
